Telepsychiatry is the use of technology to provide or support clinical psychiatric care at a distance. Televideo communication can increase access to care for patients with mental health disorders while providing a comparable alternative to traditional face-to-face treatment. This is an informational website based on a nurse practitioner's journey through setting up, implementing and improving upon a pediatric telepsychiatry practice. Although there is excellent information available pertaining to telepsychiatry, there has not been a single location for for nurses to access it.
